SakhoDiafra Sakho has been arrested for a second time in a month – after allegedly issuing ‘threats to kill and witness intimidation’.

The Sun is claiming the Hammers player felt the long arm of the law on Sunday evening – and published a statement from the Metropolitan Police in support of its claims.

Sakho’s troubles seemingly stem from a fallout he has had with his girlfriend. It’s the second time he’s been arrested in a month!

A Met spokesman told the paper: “On Sunday 23 August, officers from Havering arrested a man on suspicion of threats to kill and witness intimidation. A 25-year-old man was arrested an an address in Emerson Park, Hornchurch. He was taken to an east London police station and bailed pending police enquiries to a date in early October.”

Following his earlier arrest, the police had confirmed: “Officers from Tower Hamlets have arrested a man on suspicion of common assault, criminal damage and malicious communication. The 25-year-old was arrested on Thursday 6 August at an address in Emerson Park, Hornchurch. He was taken to an east London police station and has been bailed to a date in late September.”

Sakho has refused to speak directly about the incident. But his spokesman did confirm: “Diafra Sakho has not been charged with any offence. He vigorously denies the allegations that have been made against him, and has given police a complete explanation of events. He will not be making any further comment.”
