Report: Slav targets top Croatian prospect

josipWest Ham are today reported as being keen to sign Hadjuk Split teenager Josip Magnajic

The 17-year-old  made his first team debut in May as he came off the bench to face NK Zagreb and is viewed as a top-future Croatian international prospect, having appeared eight times for the under-17 side.

Boss Slaven Bilic is hoping to use his Croatian connections to bring in Magnajic, although he won’t be immediately brought into first team contention.

Some reports say  Serie A club Fiorentina are also keen to sign Magnajic  but Bilic is determined not to miss out.

i was very young when our “Golden Generation” came through the Academy in the 90s, so i can’t ever remember being this hopeful for the future of the team with the players coming through at the moment, and Slaven will give them a chance to get into the first team when they are ready.
I hope this Croatian kid is gonna be another top prospect and he comes to West Ham to work with Slaven.

When will he be ready 5 years – 7 who knows,
All I know is Cullen has looked the part for 2 years now, when he played for us last he was judged by many asto small bit like Zola or Cottee maybe,
So we loan him out and the first game he plays the other teams management and fans said he was similar to Zindine,
But he will be there playing all season,
So is this one going to be better then Martinez or Fletcher ?
If he was that good it would be Barca or Real or Chelski,Manure trying to sign him,
I am all for younger players getting the chance I am a hammer fan, but when did we last give someone a real chance, how long must Burke, Samulsun wait they are the right age now, even Hippo played Burke 2 years ago and this time last season after putting the Gooners to the knife so was MOTM Oxford,
1 year on where are they now ?
Everton ,Manure,Spuds ect give youth a chance every year
These players could be great and saves the club a fortune
