Spurs are eyeing a deal for James Ward-Prowse this summer.
We have reported previously that Hammers boss David Moyes wants to do a deal to sign the Southampton captain in this transfer window.
However, The Athletic now claims that Tottenham are also eyeing a potential bid for Ward-Prowse as the summer window approaches.
Ward-Prowse signed a new contract at Southampton last summer and would be a hugely expensive signing for any Premier League club to make, particularly on the back of what was such an impressive season in 2021/22.
Ward-Prowse scored 11 goals in all competitions and also laid on eight assists.
The Athletic make it clear that any deal for Ward-Prowse is a very difficult one to do but it seems as though Spurs are considering making a bid for the England international.
It remains to be seen if West Ham formalise their interest with an offer but Moyes is very keen on bringing the 27-year-old to east London.
