Report: Tammy doesn’t want West Ham move

|

Tammy Abraham does not want a move to West Ham and has his eyes set on a move to Arsenal according to a report by @EXWHUEmployee

EX adds that if it does get to the end of the transfer window with Chelsea signing someone while Arsenal hasn’t made a move he may be tempted to think again for the sake of his career.

Chelsea are said to have now dropped their demands to £30m, initially, the West London side wanted £40m, a valuation which David Moyes said made the chance of a deal, a non-starter.

Abraham earns around £80,000 a week at Chelsea but his agent reportedly says he wants £140,000 per week in personal terms to move to a new club.

Those wage demands would be difficult for the Hammers to accept without a domino effect amongst West Ham other earners some of which are claimed to have parity clauses inserted in their contracts.

  • Easy, don’t want him!
Why would we want a chelski cast off?
It’s an easy fix he doesn’t want to come, chelski don’t think he’s worth 80k so why would anyone else pay 140k? Both him and his agent need to wake up that sort of money is not available. We move on to another story about some over priced cast off.

What a shame…..He can now go elsewhere to seek his pot of gold or remain warming Chelsea’s bench, instead of living every boy’s dream.
    At £140K/Week, he’s having a laugh.

  • 140 grand a week???? Really???
    For proven bench warmer
Someone needs to have a word with the boy.
Hardly endeared himself to our lot has he

    • Childish says:

And only now after 3 months we know this …Great stuff ..we are right on the ball again

      • Julian Woodhouse says:

So Sean, where is our competition for a striker that will not play more than 50% of games this season going to come from? We have only had 8 months to identify and recruit competition for Ant and we still do not have that striker. Ex also reports that we made an inquiry about Pereira but it has gone no further. You just can’t make this up, less than two weeks until first game of the season with Europa League following soon thereafter and we have one striker who doesn’t play more than 25 games, one light in CDM and light a CB at minimum, it just beggars belief and if we are not careful and get these positions sorted our season is at risk of being over before it has even started.

        • Childish says:

Exactly what I’ve said for weeks …I repeat myself wich I know is annoying, but it just falls on deaf ears….imo we need 2 forwards ..looknout if we lose first few games and Antonio gets injured ..

  • Mojen says:

Tell him go anywhere but West Ham.its decisive management got us here.We must becoming a joke.

Let’s go and get someone else then. No point pursuing Abraham if he’s only willing to ‘lower’ himself to joining us for £140k a week. Much rather a player who is excited to join us and sees us as a step up rather than one that views us as a last resort if all else fails and for wages that are well over the odds. Remember this is a player who can’t even get into his own club’s match day squad most of the time.

Agree with the comments here. This is the sad reality of modern football: relatively inexperienced players, who’ve won absolutely nothing, like Abraham, demanding colossal wages just to be persuaded to join clubs that can give them a chance to hone their raw talent. If this story has legs, I say “B*ll*cks” to Abraham, who will have proved that his attitude stinks before he’s even kicked a ball. His mates Hudson-Odoi and Loftus-Cheek haven’t exactly set the world alight in the last year, have they? Let’s move on. We’re better off looking at players with a more realistic view of their stage of development, that are hungry and we can get in from lower leagues. Moyes is no fool. If this is true, we won’t be going anywhere near Abraham and his ilk.

groundhog day every summer, always chasing someone who makes it quite clear they aren’t interested in signing for us.
It was only recently that Ex- was saying he wants to come to us, he is obviously chasing the ££.
Move on & go after a player who wants to sign

No one with the best interests of West Ham should be disappointed with this, in fact we should be delighted with this news. Over rated is a word used a lot but in this case it is totally true. Brilliant news lets move to a proper target. The only incredibly worrying feeling I have is that Moyes actually wanted to sign him (if indeed this was true – this is seriously worrying if true).

    • Julian Woodhouse says:

Don’t disagree John but what target, we don’t seem to have one and we’ve had 8 months to have prepared for this window and a new striker?!

      • johnham1 says:

I agree Julian who is the target, it seems to be the best kept secret, of all the names that I have heard that we have been linked to, the one that stands out for me is Danny Ings. He makes the most sense in my opinion and every time we play Southampton I am always nervous of him. I also like the links to Hlozek and Sima. It is extremely worrying that we have not sorted out a striker less than 2 weeks before the new season starts – just incredible lack of planning on behalf of the club.

  • Newtown says:

Great news – attitude sucks , not good enough.
But as others have said , we have known for months we need a striker . Moyes stated in Jan he had money to spend then but would wait till Summer !
Well , less than 2 weeks to go and still no closer it seems .
This is a pathetic state of affairs . And each day that passes where we don’t sign someone decent we will pay over the odds for a panic buy .

  • Graham Watts says:

All transfer windows go the wire and this one is especially difficult with clubs wanting to make maximum money out of players leaving as in most cases they have to replace them. Buying clubs don’t have the same ability to pay both fees and inflated wages in a post pandemic world!
I will believe what is actually happening when David Moyes speaks!

  • DJHammer says:

Lads, the transfer window is open all month long.
If you want best value for money, then a waiting game is necessary.
We know we have left our calling card at a few clubs, now brinkmanship comes into play.
The way it appears to me is, we’ll start the season with what we’ve got, adding two more thereafter, then on deadline day, we’ll you know the rest, just don’t stress out too much please!

    • DJHammer says:

Oh, personally quite happy Tammy is off to the Gunners, he’s a boyhood fan of them too, makes sense as he’s not cut out to play in a counter attack set up!
