Report: Tore on his way to Hammers

ToreBESIKTAS are being widely reported as having accepted a West Ham bid of around £8.5 million for for Turkey international Gokhan Tore – a big Slaven Blic favourite.

We have been linked with the player since the manager’s arrival and he has often spoken of his admiration for the player.

As long ago as last October he declared: ““I have always said that Gokhan Tore could play at any European team he has both the quality and the potential.

“After agreeing terms with West Ham I told the board that I want him and I strongly believe he would add a lot to the team and be a success in England. The fans would have loved him but it did not happen we could not agree a deal.”

According to Turkish newspaper Takvim, Tore’s switch to West Ham could be announced as early as May as the two clubs complete the necessary paperwork but there is absolutely no confirmation of that.

Should there be – and ClaretandHugh will be attempting to do so – it would mean the Irons have  committed around £17 million to new signings with the Manu Lanzini deal about to be rubber-stamped.

  1. I trust Slav knows what he is doing and hopefully it will be true as he could save us a fortune.

  2. Really hope we get him he looks like he will fit right in with our style of play. Slav has wanted him since day 1 and Im pretty sure we can trust his judgement now.

  3. No deal say his club, who leaked it again his agent ?
Hope we get him if Slav wants him but it’s a bit early by all accounts
