Atlanta United midfielder Miguel Almiron is edging closer to a move to the Premier League, according to a report from El Intransigente.
The Paraguay international has been heavily linked with a potential move to England, after lighting up MLS.
In his 69 appearances for Atlanta, he has scored 22 goals and provided 21 assists, marking himself out as a truly creative talent. He has also won 13 caps for Paraguay.
Almiron has repeatedly been touted as a potential signing for both Liverpool and Arsenal, as they look to add to their attacking midfield ranks.
The report claims that an offer has been tabled by the Gunners, with the Irons’ opponents this weekend, Newcastle, also interested, along with Tottenham.
And Almiron is understood to be keen to play for either the Irons or the Magpies as he seeks first-team chances at Europe’s highest level.
Atlanta are keen to recoup $30m for the star, which would be £23.5m in sterling.
MLS’ season is coming to an end, and Almiron is said to be close to making a decision over his future.
