Clyne moved to Anfield from Southampton in the summer of 2015 for £12m but has since dropped down the pecking order and now wants regular first team football.
The 28 year old is versatile and also play in the left back position and could a valuable addition to Pellegrini’s squad.
The player was born in London starting his senior playing career for Crystal Palace for whom his made 122 apperances between 2008-2012.
Surely a left back is a far greater priority? Cresswell is too slow for the premiership and Arthur is too erratic, both need to go.
