Report: William Carvalho to travel to London

WilliamPortuguese media suggest William Carvalho will travel to London on Monday or Tuesday to complete a medical and sign a contract wiH West Ham
Newspaper Sapo.pt say that the Sporting midfielder is expected to travel on Monday or Tuesday to London, where he is expected to sign a contract with West Ham. He will not play another game for the Sporting Lisbon they claim. William Carvalho was missing from his team’s 1-0 win over  Vitoria Setubal last night.
They claim “the midfielder is expected to travel next week, Monday or Tuesday, to London, where he will make the usual medical examinations and initiate contact with the Hammers. The player could have travelled to England this Friday but ended up staying in Lisbon to watch Sporting’s 1-0 victory over V. Setúbal in Alvalade for the second round of the championship.”

They add “On Saturday, William had a commitment. On Tuesday, he can not play for Sporting in the first leg of the Champions League play-off against Steaua Bucharest because he is suspended”

After the game with Vitória on Friday night, Carvalho was asked what his destination was and why he had been absent from Friday’s match. William Carvalho looked, smiled, opened his arms and did not give away any information the report claims.

  1. So what is the word? Is it actually in motion and happening?
Or is it all rumours and speculation?

    • Sporting said we never placed a bid on him to attract late offers from clubs, but it seems like we have more or less secured a 30 Million plus add-ons totaling around 38 million euros which should be accepted. Plus he has told the club he wants to join west ham!

  2. Okay brilliant 🙂 thank You.

  3. Nice one very excited about this COYI !!!

  4. Not as far along as the report would make us believe

  5. By the sound of it I think we’re safe to say – who knows – your guess is as good as anyone else’s!

    • … but a couple of points – having listened to a couple of interviews given by the Dave’s I thought the plan this year was to go for players with Premiership experience!

Plus, a hobby-horse of mine, does he speak da lingo?

  6. They did but if a class act like Carvalho becomes available then you can’t hold them to the letter . That’s just being pedantic. COYI X
