Hammers new boy James Ward Prowse

The West Ham curse seems to be busy again before the season has really kicked into serious gear.

For according to reports this morning – which we can only hope may be incorrect, James Ward-Prowse – the top star among the new arrivals – has picked up an injury in training.

He is reported due to have a scan this morning on an injury which at this stage has not been revealed by the club  and one can only keep all fingers crossed this is not major problem.

His loss – given his amazing form in the opening four games – would be huge at any time and one can only hope that the international break will take care of things.

However, with Manchester City and Liverpool on the horizon afterwards there could barely be two games for which he would be more needed.

Should he not be available then presumably Tomas Soucek will be called up as a replacement after missing with win over Luton with a concussion injury.

  • Mr Buddy Lurve says:

I sincerely hope he’d be looking at replacing Soucek with Fornals, or play Kudus and leave Bennie on the wing. Playing Soucek should only be considered when Alvarez cannot play.
