Revealed: Who Hammers most want to see return

A  poll of nearly 1,800 Claret and Hugh readers has revealed that over 64% of supporters can’t wait for Manuel Lanzini  to return to first team action. Fabian Balbuena came second on over 25% of the vote which is good news as both are in contention to return to the squad for selection this Friday as the Hammers face Fulham at the London Stadium.

Club insiders claim Lanzini is likely to be on the bench on Friday while there is an outside chance that Balbuena could join him also. Neither are expected to start.

Forgotten man Andriy Yarmolenko came in third with nearly 5% of the vote but he is unlikely to feature this season as he recovers from an achilles rupture.  Samir Nasri came fourth with nearly 3% of the vote and is expected to return to fitness within two weeks.

Supporters don’t seem that bothered about Jack Wilshere and Winston Reid both who pulled in just over 1% of the vote while less than a third of 1% wanted to see Carlos Sanchez return to action.  The un-missed trio are unlikely to feature this season.
