Recovering Iron may be set for end of season return

Angelo_Ogbonna_BGR-ITA_2012Angelo Ogbonna is making massive strides in his recovery process and hopes are rising that he could make a return to the team for the last few games of the season.

The central defender was expected to be out until the next campaign but the medical staff have been thrilled with his progress and believe that a return to action during the last three or four games may be possible.

Oggy underwent surgery on a knee injury which had seen him play through the pain barrier for much of the season before being forced out of action after the game against Middlesbrough back in January.

Now however he is back in the gym training hard and has been running on grass as he bids to complete a remarkable return to the team.

We were told: “He really is looking very good and the speed with which he is recovering has taken everybody by surprise. An end of season return can’t be ruled out.”
