Rice could miss Arsenal

Declan Rice could miss this week’s huge clash with Arsenal if he receives a booking against Burnley.

The Hammers midfielder has collected four yellow cards thus far this season and is aware that if he receives another, he will be suspended for the next game.

That comes against the Gunners on Wednesday, a game that David Moyes’ side will be desperate to win given the current top four battle.

Should the Hammers beat Burnley, they will have 30 points, meaning they would be four points clear of the Gunners in sixth. A loss or a draw would add a wrinkle to the race, with Manchester United currently one point ahead of the Gunners.

Arsenal had lost their previous two games ahead of this weekend but returned to winning ways with a 3-0 win over Southampton on Saturday.

Rice, of course, will be central to any hopes the Hammers have of taking all three points, so he will have to be on his best behaviour against Sean Dyche’s side at Turf Moor.
