Rice dismisses transfer speculation as all talk

After yet another tabloid report suggested that Manchester United will make a £70m bid for Declan Rice this January transfer window the player himself has dismissed the speculation as just talk while on international duty with England this week.

Rice told the Daily Mirror: “I signed a five year contract with West Ham last year, which will keep me at club till I’m 24, and for me this is the best place to be right now. I am playing for a manager who has given me my chance and played me week in week out.

“I’m improving every week and although I see all this speculation, I don’t really think about it too much.

“It’s all talk until something happens – and nothing has – so I’m just focussed on West Ham, doing my best and making fans happy.”

Well said Declan!  We know Manchester United need a distraction from the car crash of a season they are having so far but whether manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær will still be in charge in January is the question. I am not sure we may any attention to Manchester United stories in their current situation. As Dec says it’s all talk until someone makes a formal inquiry or bid.  We all understand the likelihood of Declan Rice staying a Hammer throughout his best years to come are slim but we are not quite ready to lose him this winter unless someone wants to overpay over £100m for his services.

  1. Have you any comments from the west ham ? This ongoing speculation needs to be sorted.

    • How do you sort speculation from the media which is invented during an international week when there is nothing happening?

    • If the quoted 80m is correct id bite thrre hand off yes we all love him and think his amazing bit take of the claret and blue specs and his bang average cant shoot cant dribble and cant play a forward pass always to the side or backwards.

  2. Well dec stay learn or Evan be West Ham legend Man Utd is a four year job for the next manager city and Liverpool will both lose there managers in next two years let’s see where we are then !!!
