Rice leads tributes

Declan Rice has led the tributes to Marvin Morgan after the former Football League star passed away at the age of 38.

Morgan played for a variety of Football League clubs during his career, including spells at Woking, Aldershot Town, Shrewsbury Town, Plymouth Argyle and Hartlepool United.

He ended his career in 2020 with Potters Bar Town in non-league and became an entrepreneur during, and after, his career.

Morgan founded Fresh Ego Kid, a clothing brand that was worn by a number of Premier League footballers, and also set up a football team by the name of Fresh Ego FC, which was designed to raise awareness around racism in football.

He was an avid anti-racism and discrimination campaigner and a number of top-flight stars have taken to social media to express their shock and sadness at his passing, including Rice and the Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, per Sky Sports.
