Declan Rice has been ranked as one of the most valuable players in world football.
The CIES Football Observatory ranks players by their value at the end of every season and has done so again this season.
They have included Declan in the list, and they claim he is the 36th most valuable player in the world.
They have also assigned him a value of €75.1m, which we’d have to say is a little on the low side; it equates to £64.1m.
That puts him ahead of the likes of Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Real Madrid’s Champions League winning goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling and Manchester United’s Harry Maguire.
The top 10 is made up of the kind of players you would expect, with PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe heading up the list by significant margin.
Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr is second, and is followed by Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, Barcelona’s Pedri, Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, City’s Phil Foden, Barcelona’s Frenkie De Jong, Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, Manchester City’s Ruben Dias and Barca’s Ferran Torres.
