Rice sends Liverpool star a heartfelt message

Declan Rice has sent a heartfelt message to Liverpool star Harvey Elliott after his horror injury against Leeds.

The young winger was stretchered off after a genuinely awful injury in Liverpool’s 3-0 win at Elland Road.

Videos after the fact showed that Elliott appeared to break his ankle after a challenge from defender Pascal Struijk, who was ultimately shown a red card.

And Rice took to Instagram to wish the former Fulham starlet well.

Elliott has made a real impact at Liverpool at the age of just 18 and has made four appearances thus far this season, although he now looks likely to be out for a significant period of time.

Writing in his Instagram story, Rice said: “Get well soon Harv! Top boy and player! Speedy recovery.”

Elliott is just 18 and operates as both an attacking midfielder and a right winger, while he has won seven caps for England’s U17s. Now, he will be looking to recover and force his way back into the plans at Anfield.
