Rice set for huge clash

Declan Rice is surely set to start for England in their World Cup Round of 16 clash with Senegal this evening.

The Hammers skipper has been central to the Three Lions’ progression through the tournament thus far.

England thumped Iran 6-2 in the first game of the group stages before a bore draw against the USA. They rounded off the groups with a convincing 3-0 win over Wales, and have subsequently won the group, booking a meeting with Senegal.

The African side came through Group A in second place, behind the Netherlands but ahead of both Ecuador and hosts Qatar.

Declan has played in every game thus far and is likely to form a midfield pivot alongside the impressive Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.

He has, thus far, won 37 caps for his country and is likely to bring up number 38 tonight.

Declan will hope to go even further in the competition, having been the lynchpin of England’s run to the Euro 2020 final.

  1. He’s gone, whereever he chooses to go money won’t be a problem – he’s just got to make up his mind – Chelsea are in pole position, but Man City or Liverpool are also in the frame – as well as any of the European big boys. The World is his ‘lobster’ – West Ham can’t compete, they judt have to work out how to spend the money wisely (don’t hold your breath!) 🤬
