Rice talks venue reported

Arsenal and West Ham are being reported to start talks over Declan Rice at a Premier League chief executives meeting later on this week.

That feels like a new take on an ongoing story as the Mail attempts to find new legs for a story which is become endless.

There is no reason to believe that come tomorrow the two clubs can start talks anywhere any time although at this stage there remains no offer from the north London outfit.

Rice’s sale price will play a major part in the Hammers final budget although they will also be adding all player sales to the pot from which David Moyes – now confirmed as staying at the club – will be allowed to make his choices.

However, David Sullivan will again be controlling the cash flow under a new director of football.

Moyes is understood to have been satisfied by the talks involving that which he held with Sullivan at the end of season meeting before agreeing to go into the last year of his three year contract.
