Julian Dicks insists that Declan Rice is worth more than Jack Grealish!

The Manchester City star moved to the Etihad for a fee of £100m in the summer, becoming the most expensive British footballer of all time in the process.

He has struggled since then, though.

Under boss Pep Guardiola, Grealish has made 23 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and registering three assists.

Rice has also been linked with a potential move north in the summer and Dicks reckons his value can balloon beyond £100m if he decides to stick with it in east London and snubs a move to either Man City or United in the next couple of transfer windows.

Asked about the potential of him moving on for a fee similar to that paid for Grealish by City, Dicks said, as per Football.London: “I don’t think anybody is worth £100m but Declan is such a good player and he just keeps everything simple. He is not one who beats four, five or six people he just keeps everything simple.

“That is what the best players do, they keep things simple and Declan is just going to get better and better and better.”

When asked about a value, Dicks said: “Nowadays you would be saying £100m but the thing is if he stays here another season or couple of seasons and keeps performing as he is, his value will only go up.”

Declan has made 28 appearances in all competitions and has actually scored the same amount of goals as Grealish, while laying on four assists.
