Richard Keys Turns Full Grinch With Another Christmas Dig at West Ham

Disgraced former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys just can’t help having a dig at West Ham United — and why should Christmas time be any different?

Andy Gray’s wingman has held a grudge against the Hammers ever since he publicly took on Karren Brady during a sexism row and… well… lost. His bitterness only grew when West Ham chose not to renew the contract of his mate David Moyes. On that occasion, it was director of football Tim Steidten who found himself in Keys’ crosshairs, with Keys branding him “a sneaky weasel.” Ouch.

This time, Keys has gone full Grinch by praising West Ham for cancelling their Christmas party.
“The staff at West Ham have made a good decision. They’ve cancelled the Christmas party,” he wrote on his blog.
“I hope the word ‘staff’ includes the players. Nobody at West Ham should be celebrating anything at present.”

He may be right, he may be wrong — but the bloke absolutely loves sticking the boot into West Ham at every opportunity.

Keys Isn’t Always Wrong… Sadly

To be fair, occasionally he hits the mark. When he locked horns with Brady again over the appointment of Graham Potter, he didn’t hold back:

“It looks like Graham Potter is toast. Is anyone surprised? He was never the man for West Ham. He’s not a big club manager. All that bluster from Karen Brady looks even more stupid now. She should go with him. She’s made one bad decision after another — including delivering an athletics arena for them to play football in. I feel sorry for West Ham fans. Oh for the Moysey days, eh.”

Hard to argue with that one… unfortunately

    Yes agree

Very hard. We can get upset because we feel that the Keys hasn’t paid his dues as a supporter and therefore does not qualify to have a dig, but if he is right, which he most certainly is in this case, let him have his moment, ignore him and move on. Whatever he says will never have a lasting effect on West Ham, so let it go.
