Right-back deal twist

Aaron Wan-Bissaka looks set to join Crystal Palace on loan in January if the two clubs can reach a deal.

The Hammers were linked with a potential swoop to sign the full-back in the summer transfer window but were unable to strike a deal with United.

Now The Sun reports that Wan-Bissaka could go back to Palace on a short-term deal, which would be an embarrassment for United.

They paid £45m to sign him in the summer of 2019 but he has struggled to make a real impact at Old Trafford.

Wan-Bissaka is said to earn around £80,000-per-week and Palace, or any other club that makes a move for him in January, may have to pick up the entirety of that bill.

He has a contract until 2024 but has played just four minutes of Premier League football this season under new manager Erik Ten Hag and it appears that he could be available at the turn of the year.

It remains to be seen if the Irons will reignite their interest.
