Roberto: “I feel absolutely ready”

|

Confident Roberto is ready for his big opportunity in the Hammers goalkeeping sweater and ready to not let anybody down.

Having made his appearance when Fab broke down on Saturday he now knows he will have an extended run in the team as the Hammers look to push on.

Yesterday’s news of the Fab injury left us all devastated but the No 2 sounds more than ready for the job he is facing over the next few games.

As we have written here previously he needs all the backing in the world from us fans and is no doubt getting all the support in the world from Fab himself.

Now comes the acid test after last Saturday when he made at least once crucial save to keep the Hammers alive in a game which could have gone either way.

He has been talking on that and his readiness for the task in front of him at https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2019/september/30-september/roberto-im-happy-help-team and said:“It could have been the end of the game if we went down 3-1, but I was lucky to make the save. I’m happy to help the team and we were lucky also to score our second goal after that action, so it was good.”

And he added on his likely call up over the next few weeks: “I work every day to make everything possible and now, if I have this chance, I feel absolutely ready, so I am not feeling nervous.”

If Pelligrini signed him and let Adrian go what else is there to say .?? , apart from give him time . He kept us in the game against Bournemouth . Some fans expect too much too soon.
