Roeder to receive match day honour

Former Hammers boss Glenn Roeder will be featured on the front cover of West Ham United’s programme for Monday evenings match against Leeds.

Glenn followed Harry Redknapp as manager back in 2001 until 2003, and will be honoured with copies of the programme being available at the official site.

Manager David Moyes, captain Mark Noble, Evening Standard reporter Ken Dyer and former Hammers will be paying their tribute to Roeder, who managed the Irons between 2001-03,”

He took the Hammers from fighting relegation to the seventh spot on the table in his first season at the club, reaching 42 points.

Roeder was fired after losing to Rotherham back in 2003.
