Fabrizio Romano is reporting that West Ham have sent a proposal to Leeds United for their flying Dutchman, Crysencio Summerville.
Speaking on his social media account, the transfer insider wrote: “West Ham have submitted an initial proposal to Leeds United for Crysencio Summerville. Talks took place also on the player side, but still not close, considered very expensive. AS Roma have also included Summerville in their list but only in case the Soulé deal doesn’t happen.”
While Romano doesn’t get everything correct, he does seem to have the ear of Tim Steidten, so it’s safe to assume he’d have checked the validity of the rumour before posting.
The Italian ITK’s reference to the ‘Soule deal’ was an update on West Ham’s interest in Juventus winger Mathias Soule, who is supposed to be high on the list of Hammers targets.
The search for a left winger/attacking wide-man has become something of a saga in this transfer window. Expect things to be ramped up even further as the Irons continue to be linked with at least six wide-men on a regular basis.
Hope we sign this guy if we can’t get Jota Silva, he is a class act, a high class version of Benrahma with a lot more speed and end product.
The season is getting very very close, we really need a quality striker & another central defender & a right back at the very least, we have been linked with everybody, players all over the park, but nothing gets over the line, why are our transfers never completed before the season starts so the new players can blend in during the pre season friendlies and tours ?. The board said this was down to Moyes dithering, but nothing has changed, it’s always the same find a target offer peanuts lose them to another club. Come on sort this mess out before the season starts or the new manager walks. Are we the worse run club ?, contracts running out so no fee received, youngsters lost to other clubs, poor purchases costing us millions, un registered players played etc, etc
Why in God’s name are we trying to sign another winger? Bowen, Kudus, Guillerme, Cornet, Earthy all there already. Signing this guy would just stunt the growth of Guillerme and Earthy. Normally I’d dismiss this as a rumor but Romano tends to be plugged in. We still haven’t signed another defender; starting to feel like we don’t have a plan at all!
Rather have Jota Silva, 10m euros would get him. He plays both wings and central

I’ve just seen that Ipswich (!!) are in talks to sign Sammie Szmodics. What’s going on? I thought this new regime was going to sort things out early. This is another Ollie Watkins! Also what about spending the midfield money on Matt O’Reily from Celtic rather than an old stager whose best days are behind him. Also what’s the story Tim? Hoping all these blatantly obvious targets are nothing to do with you. I’m looking forward to those undiscovered diamonds we’ve been promised.

Seems like fleecing the fans by increasing the cost of season tickets yet again and removing concessionary pricing hasn’t done very much to improve the club’s affordability. Guess we’ll just have to find more prices we can hike.
You sometimes wish that we would do a deal for someone instead of letting names keep cropping up and nothing getting done…and again do we have deals Tim has lined up but then you go back to the Boss and he tries to get it done cheaper putting peoples noses out of joint and suddenly the deal goes south and the roundabout starts spinning again.
