Football transfer ITK Fabrizio Romano has reported that Guido Rodríguez will be announced as a new West Ham player tomorrow. The Italian football insider posted on his social media accounts that the Argentinian midfielder will be revealed by the Hammers in the morning.

Rodríguez completed his media duties at the same time as former Dortmund forward Niclas Füllkrug, and the two players were due to be presented to the press today.

However, there were a few finer details that needed to be ironed out before the free agent could put pen to paper on his Hammers deal. Therefore, as the day wore on, it became harder for the club to announce the transfer until all documentation had been submitted.

Guido will immediately have one familiar face at West Ham as soon as he’s announced. The defensive midfielder played 74 games alongside Hammer Edson Álvarez when the pair played together at Club América in Mexico. More on the resurrection of that alliance and friendship will no doubt be revealed in tomorrow’s press release, but it’s fair to assume the two would have spoken before the transfer.

Just hope Gonzo that Alvarez being lined up for move to Man Utd…just got that nagging feeling in my head this might well happen

    • Simon Lewis says:

No chance. WH would simply not sanction it.

Football is a business now full stop. If United bids around £80m I’m sure they would get him and that would be good business from us as we bought him for £35m. Anything less than we keep him. Onwards and upwards? Irons ⚒️

    • Dudley Tyler says:

You might not be wrong. There still seems to be enough interest in funding other incoming players that someone we don’t expect to leave may be sold and Alvarez could be a candidate.

    • Tim says:

The deal could be a serious chunk of cash plus Wan Bissecka for Alvarez !!

  • Dan says:

Don’t let Alvarez go, proper player ⚒️
