Romano on Kudus : Tottenham’s genuine Interest as more clubs involved

The transfer market seems about to lift off at London Stadium. Whilst it isn’t a cause for celebration that West Ham are about to ship off one of their biggest assets, Mohammed Kudus is the Hammers most bankable asset and the player most likely to bring in funds for the summer rebuild. Kudus, whilst not pushing for a move, is widely reported as wanting Champions League football and that will be driving his desire to move on up and out.

Fair to say Graham Potter restored Kudus’ form after the fracas with Lopetegui and it now it appears , two weeks into the window, that the buyers are circling for West Ham’s Ghanaian.

In the know Journo Fabrizio Romano has taken to his twitter account in the last hour to confirm that Tottenham’s self imposed ‘Hammers transfer-exile’ seems to be on hold as the north Londoners are 100% after Kudus’ signature:

“Tottenham have genuine interest in Mohammed Kudus and he’s high on the list for this summer….Initial contacts took place with his new agents while there are more clubs also involved. Kudus, open to Spurs talks”

‘Other clubs also involved’ implying a level of urgency has entered the negotiations now – we know Chelsea were trying to secure a £50 million bid for Kudus which will no doubt go by the wayside as the gloves do seem to be off in the negotiations.

All of which means that the Hammers can start on their own plans for spending the Kudus money on their summer rebuild – more news of which follows with some tantalising exclusive news about our weekend story concerning the ‘Danish duo’ being London-stadium bound.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

Sully will take less if it means Spurs pay more upfront now. I would expect Kudus to go for around £50m with some crappy add ons.

What a joke our club has become. Anyone but Spurs

I’m up for his as long as we get 65-70 million that’s his true value . We know what he’s like when his attitude is like . A star mate shame to loose him but we need the cash

DO NOT sell to spurs unless release clause is met…he’s under contract. Board stump up some money and build the team around him, Bowen and awe…just a thought

Daily garbage. Yesterday nobody was interested anymore because they had all bought other players, today the same old culprits are circling, tomorrow who knows. One day we have no money, the next we have £90M, one day we are in breach of PSR, the next day no we are not. One thing that seems to be consistent is that WHU is probably the worst run club in the EPL and all we can do is sit and watch it all play out. Still no significant signings and they report back for pre-season training tomorrow, how depressing that must be for those that actually want to be there (Bowen).

Martin, I have a feeling it will be an initial ‘derisory’ offer (55M)…and then the negotiations will drag on…The board should just pump in some funds now and recoup when deals are completed…or better still….pump in some cash and invest in our future irrespective of sales!
Yeah…and pigs will learn to fly. *sigh*
