Rowdy scenes at the Boleyn Ground

|

Some West Ham supporters got carried away at the last Saturday at the Boleyn Ground after 112 years. This video posted a fan called Joey defended the scences saying “Not allowed to have a laugh at football anymore apparently”

One fan didn’t see the funny side posting “Yeah let’s rip up our stadium & sing songs about rivals who don’t care about us whilst playing Swansea. Great idea”

“There are more ways at having fun that smashing up YOUR OWN GROUND”

Joey later replied later to those claims that fans were disrepecing the occasion

“It’s just getting pissed and having a laugh with mates, nothing was even broken” and

“literally nothing in the ground got smashed up it was literally one metal case that holds drink”

  • oldiron says:

That is so not having a laugh, it is so disrespectful to the Boleyn, the owners and all West Ham fans, would they like the rest of us to go round to their houses and act like that in their home and gardens, I THINK NOT.
Just a load of hooligans , stay away from the OS you are not wanted there.
A true West Ham fan of 56 years and I have never acted like that in all my supporting years.

I wouldn’t call them fans at all. Is there any truth in the rumour that we want Mauro Icardi from Inter? Apparently he is keen on a move too.

  • lenchi says:

If it was just fun, why sing about Tottenham, something ALL West Ham supporters hate. Surely having fun is to sing about something thats good about West Ham? Like ‘Weve got Payet, Dimitri Payet, I dont think you understand’.

Really you lot have never seen this at West ham!? If you go to the bar at Bobby Moor lower or Trevor brooking lower this behaviour happens every week. It has got completely blown out of proportion a bit of rubbish being thrown around. There is rubbish everywhere around the bar areas anyway. I think it’s a bit of harmless fun. As for singing about Tottenham. As a true west ham fan there is nothing better than to sing about how much we hate them. You guys need to lighten up and realise this is just a bit of football banter.

Reminds me of my local most Friday nights 😉

I must be in the minority….. Singing is one thing, we all hate Spurs. But it’s not their property to trash. Do they do this in their own houses? I think it’s quite moronic, they aren’t kids in this video, they are grown men with families. I don’t want people like this at the OS.

  • One Eye Jack says:

Little buggers,I bet they wouldn’t do that in front of their Grannies. They would get a good clip round the lughole.
You going to invite them round your drum to trash it then Lee if it doesn’t bother you.

  • leeIrons says:

One eyed jack. The place is a mess anyway no one uses bins for the bottles and wrappers. Even if they wanted to the bins couldn’t handle the rubbish. What is an extra bin bags worth? Some people just need to lighten up. Littering is hardly crime of the century.

  • One Eye Jack says:

Doesn’t bother me one iota but kicking bins & bottles round is hardly littering is it.Littering is dropping a chewing gum wrapper isn’t it old son.Not slamming bins down & kicking bottles about.I remember when our boys used their energies on opposition hard cases not bullying an empty bottle 😀

  • To be fair you often see this on West Ham away days, personally, I wouldn’t waste beer throwing it up in the air but each to their own I suppose.

  • bubs says:

Now your talking Sean that’s the crime,Beer is for drinking and at the cost not wasting,as for litter, who ever drops it has no idea the cost to everyone to clean it up,
Most people now pay around £500 per year council tax ( London more ) to keep the streets clean and it causes vermin as well,we are not animals and it’s so easy to cure,
Sorry lads spent 30 years working in the cleansing service,
Now an official beer tester and Kevin’s warden
