Roy Keane “West Ham look old and tired”

West Ham look old and tired . . .is anyone surprised?

Thousands of West Ham fans left the London Stadium at halftime as the Hammers were crushed in a 6-0 defeat to Arsenal. However, it wasn’t just the Irons fans who were less than impressed with West Ham’s first-half performance.

Sky pundit Roy Keane said that David Moyes‘ West Ham team looked ‘old and tired’, and there is a very good reason for that. West Ham have the smallest and joint-oldest squad in the Premier League and decided against recruiting anyone to bolster the attack in January. As a result, we’ve been forced to play a fullback in midfield and a winger in attack while defending for most of the game.

West Ham fans leave the London Stadium early as West Ham were thrashed by Arsenal

West Ham look old and tired: Hammers fan mass exodus at half time.

Unfortunately, on this occasion, the barrier broke. Inviting attack after attack on a creaking defence eventually failed, and the result is a thrashing that will be hard to recover from. Quite how nothing was changed in the first half as West Ham surrendered goal after goal is one for the manager to answer.

But David Moyes’ team finally looked like the unbalanced, aging, and unskilled team we undoubtedly are. A bad day at the office? Maybe… but this has been coming.
