West Ham insider and transfer ITK ExWHUEmployee is reporting that Lewis Orford is close to signing a new long term deal at The London Stadium.
This follows the drama of last week when Orford was supposedly offered to Aston Villa as a makeweight in the transfer offer for Jhon Duran. Tellingly, there was no sign of the talented midfielder when the club submitted their third failed bid for the Colombian striker.
The young academy star has less than a year remaining on his current Hammers contract and was described as ‘desperate’ to stay at West Ham. Local lad Orford is an Irons fan who made no secret of his desire to break into Julen Lopetegui’s first team this season.
It now appears that following positive talks between the club and Orford’s team, a five-year deal is close to being agreed. Mark Noble was understood to be pivotal in the negotiations as he has been in the US on the Irons’ pre-season tour.
Noble won’t he a happy man if Orford is sold I feel .
We have 3 or 4 special talented players coming threw and Orford is the pick 9f them in my opinion.
Let’s Hope he gets the chance to shine th8s upcoming season for us .

Orford staying gives hope to academy players that they have a chance like Declan Rice to make it in the Prem / play for England and achieve their ambitions.
We can’t keep having our best youngsters get poached by the elite. Not all are good enough and get found out.
