Diafra Sakho came through his first match action for weeks with no problems during a Hammers under 23 game against Spurs yesterday (Sat).
The injury ravaged striker played for an hour as the Hammers under 23 team beat the north London outfit 3-2 in a behind closed doors game.
And ClaretandHugh was told this morning (Sun): “Sakho did really well and came though an hour great – there have been no reactions.
The club has another match at Billericay on Tuesday evening and its possible the striker may again appear in match action ahead of the opening Premier League clash at Old Trafford next Sunday.
It’s a boost for manager Slaven Bilic who also saw Winston Reid come through the game after returning from injury in pre-season but immediately receiving a red card which ruled him out of the Manchester City on Friday afternoon.
I was thinking about that Reid red card the other day and thinking that the last time he did something like that or performed as badly was when Arsenal were going to sign him, might be just an odd incident but there are a lot of rumours regarding Everton?
It is definitely food for thought , 32 . The last time we saw that was with Ince . Three deliberate red cards and unavailable untill he was sold . Hope you’re wrong but , it does look similar .

With just one year left on his contract we would normally be selling him or insisting that he signs a new contract right now. If he stays fit, scores goals and is anything like the Sakho we bought scoring goals for fun like the first season then we will have a £20M striker walking away on a free.
I can’t get excited by Sakho unless he and Sullivan/Slav have an agreement that he will be offered and he will sign a new deal in January subject to certain fitness and form criteria. Can’t see tho so it will end in tears.
If Sakho hits the ground running he is a problem for any defense in the league , as are most strikers in any club . Our main worry at the moment is the defending . Woeful is probably a good description .
Our new signings need to show Thier metal as from Sunday and onwards . As for Ayew , well we signed a crocked player anyway . Hope he gets fit . We are also waiting for the addition of Carroll to our Bench . Yep , I still rate Carroll , no prob .

Easy for you to say Laz but cobblers none the less. He gets to January top scorer in the premiership on 16 goals refuses to sign a new contract and he’s on his bike in June. There comes a point he can run his contract down and we shafted.
