Sakho “could soon be a Hammer”

SakhoWest Ham are hoping to conclude a deal for Metz striker Diafra Sakho on a loan deal should he pass a medical successfully.

Sakho is looking more likely to join the club on a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season than to make the permanent move this summer.

Club chairman Bernard Serin has revealed the player could soon be a Hammer and added he would make an announcement when it happens.

In itself that is not conclusive as ClaretandHugh has had it confirmed on several occasions that medicals are normal procedure in  order to not waste hours negotiating to then face a problem on that front.

However, we have discovered that Sakho is very much favoured by Sam Allardyce as the strong, physical presence he requires in the box

The player wants a minimum of £15k a week plus £5k for each appearance and a source has explained to Claretandhugh that the outcome should be known by midweek the latest.

  1. This guy is not what we need, hardly has the pedigree after spending last two seasons in a poor French 2nd tier. Why are we no trying to go for the likes of Wickham and others with PL experience who could do a decent job. Even better let’s go with two up top and if we must play a big fella rather than say Zarate and Valencia, then Cole is as good as any we have been linked with or seem to be going after. Anyways I wouldn’t trust Sam with any transfer funds, his record at West ham has hardly been inspiring.
