Sakho gets Senegal call

West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho is back in the Senegal swuad for this month’s decisive Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Sakho has played just three minutes for the country  as a late substitute in a friendly in Burkina Faso in May and in a wicked irony will replace former Irons hero Demba Ba – dropped by coach Alain Giresse.

Senegal are second in Group G with seven points, three behind Tunisia but ahead of Egypt in six points and pointless Botswana.

The top two teams in each qualifying group advance to next year’s finals and Sakho will be looking to take his amazing league form into the qualifiers.
