Sakho hints at Hammers exit

|

Diafra-SAkho-861004Diafra Sakho is a man of few words these days and although he is becoming more and more a part of the Hammers story he clearly  feels no need to prove anything to anybody.

A goal and an assist against Cheltenham Town in the League cup was followed by an off the post assist for a Hernandez goal at Southampton followed by one of his own against Bolton and Saturday’s winner against Swansea City.

All this followed the piece of nonsense in France when attending a medical with Rennes whilst on Saturday after the game he was seen in his car with a bloke who claimed he’d saved the manager’s butt.

Sakho is very foolish  to keep such company – especially when the bloke looks like a cartoon character from a sixties comic with a megamouth you’d like to punch.

But the important stuff came later in African Football  when the striker declared: “It’s not easy to prove to the people what I can do on the pitch when I only play for 10 minutes.

But I don’t need to knock on the manager’s door – he knows what I can do, now I have to force my way into the team. I just want to enjoy being part of this team and we will see what happens in January.”

Personally I don’t think that needs much working out – he’ll be off and as a fan of his abilities  I’ll be gutted.

Yes, he can be a right royal pain in the ‘arris, can probably stink the dressing room out with his attitude and could have a row in an empty room.

I understand why many loathe the sight of him and that others – like myself – reckon he remains the best striker at the club – it’s tough weighing such varying differentials.

There’s the remote chance he could get a run of games, score goals, prove his fitness once and for all (or not) and get a new deal but I don’t  see it happening.

He needs to kick start his career with time ticking away. I really don’t see him becoming a regular starter so prepare to wave him goodbye and I think that’s what he was perhaps trying to tell us in those significant quotes to African Football.

The Sakho soap opera looks to be entering its final chapter.

This is exactly the same as the article posted earlier. We get the message, he wants to play and will leave in January.

    • How can it nbe the same bloody article when it’s Sakho speaking for God’s sake you berk and coming to a conclusion based on it.

Word for word the same. Besides you’ve obviously amended it now.

Article1 : But the important stuff came later in African Football when the striker declared: “It’s not easy to prove to the people what I can do on the pitch when I only play for 10 minutes.

But I don’t need to knock on the manager’s door – he knows what I can do, now I have to force my way into the team. I just want to enjoy being part of this team and we will see what happens in January.”

Article 2 : Sakho was quoted in the Daily Express by Paul Brown as saying: “It’s not easy to show what I can do, or prove to the people what I can do on the pitch, when I only play for 10 minutes. But I don’t need to knock on the manager’s door – I showed what I can do, I have to force my way into the team. I was very close to leaving, but now I am here and I am enjoying the little time I’ve had on the pitch to prove myself, and after the international break we will see if I can get more. In my head I just want to enjoy being part of this team and we will see what happens in January.”

Let’s all hope that the clueless one gets the bullet before Jan then ! With all his clueless back room staff !! And as a Brucie the 3 stooges get lost in the Bermuda triangle while pampering the golden child and the chosen one and trying to work out how they managed to part with 20 millions smackers for a player that is nowhere near sakhos class , swans supporters warned
us he was crap and there’s hammers supporters calling for him to be given the benefit of the doubt 😂 yes , with you’re corners up ? I know crap when its on show some defiantly do not !!

  • Greg says:

  • Max Willow says:

Sakho’s future at West ham is largely dependent on Slav Bilic;s perception, and accepting that Sakho should start games ahead of Andy Caroll.
If we start a game with Chicharito and Sakho as our central strikers, and the likes of Masuaku, Antonio, and Lanzini supplying passes on tap, then the early goals will occur, and we will look so much more inventive compared to the’ long ball-hoof’ to Andy approach, which the fans detest and gets us nowhere!

  • jimbo says:

Agreed Max, we need pace up top, but it ain’t gonna happen whilst Bilic remains in charge. If Carroll is fit, he plays. Maybe within Laz’s post above there are one or two truths which now need addressing.

  • Soto ayam says:

I don’t blame him really. It’s obvious the club have never have cared for him much, despite him being our best goalscorer. We’re always talking about the need for a top striker and I can’t help but feel, given the opportunity, that he’d fill those boots. Seems like a wasted opportunity for both parties.
