Sakho rumour has a ring of truth

|

sakoffOne short and sharp Twitter pic should be taken more seriously than most this evening!

It came from veteran journo Alan Nixon who has worked as a freelance for respected national newspapers and is well contacted within the game .

Alan gets  more right than he gets wrong but regardless of that until we know more, it’s probably not wise to make a 100 per cent judgement.

After all, agents very often call the tune at this time of the year and much of what we read is based in information coming out of their offices.

However, his tweet that Diafra Sakho is on his way has more credibility about it than most circulating on that particular social network.

The Sakho saga has been drifting along for some time and with him being in the last season of his contract, an offer in the region of £10 million may have been enough to tempt the club.

However, with only Andy Carroll as back up it seems the Hammers continue in a season of high anxiety with yet another major reshuffle on the cards.

It could well see Michail Antonio now permanently relinquishing his favoured right wing role for a central position or a reliance on Andre Ayew to operate through the middle unless the Irons are about to sign a big name striker.

If not this will be a big mistake to go with several others which will come back to haunt us and leave me wondering whether there is any plan going on inside the club at all!

Probably going to sell him for £3m
Just so they can put that on the carvalho deal.
    Tight fisted.

W our squad be better to keep and lose on free right now.
Should be working on 1 year bumper deal for Sahko w AC’s fitness and only have Antonio for RW (by trade) now with Snod and Feg gone. Looks like Jota is going to Fulham so why we loaned out Snodgrass and pay part wages is mad. Bc squad looks thin.
We need more then 1 player! And losing Sahko now unless we are getting Origi on loan to Buy or Dembele etc would be mad.
see bid for PSV keeper so hope not shipping Adrian too bc i think he is needed rather give Hart back first and his wages could buy a CB.
Prioritize need CB DCM and Winger/Creator.
And I like Carvalho but we could get Jota CB ad DCM for his price. Engels CB and DCM Belgium’s great in PL, Ranocchia, Kala Abodji was Sam’s pick for DCM @ 27 now 6’4 same as EngelsnCB and DCM. Give Elneny a go for £10m Leicester had bid accepted but he wants to stay in London. Gzegroz on loan would be brilliant w buy option

Its all a bloody mess.Need to keep Sakho unless they think they have got Jimenez from Benfica. To be hoped they have bagged Carvalho even though Monaco could scupper that one at the last minute if Fabinho goes to P.S.G.looks like West Brom have stolen a march on Krychowiak who would have been a great aquisition,so as usual its going to the wire and expect more dodgy loans with so little time left and the owners still dithering over a few quid which is what it is in the grand scheme of things.

I don’t think I’m alone in saying this. Bilic has a problem with sakho, all the recent praise is just a smokescreen , sakho body language on the bench v barcodes was one of get me out of here ffs?? So bilic gets pumped !! Its inevitable !! And we lose sakho before he goes !!
I’ve never known this club to be in such a shambles in the many many years I’ve been coming!! Regardless of relegations etc , unless there’s 4/5 players coming in its not looking very good is it , 2 more days before a straight from the belly rant 😈 put you’re hand in you’re pocket sugo,s or move on with bilic !!! You’re promises are worthless , start delivering !

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was true, Sakho has had a lot of off field issues with Bilic aswell as in his personal life so maybe the club want to get shot of him, would seem odd because he gives us pace and aggression up top and is a handful for defenders but the club are backing Bilic and if he says he can go then he will.

  • JRS says:

Not to mention don’t have time to replace him and Bilic thinks we just need 1 player Carvalho he won’t save the club. Even if comes he will be w Portuagal so who says he starts for first home game.
Sully and David have to and looks like they are making last minute bids for a CB a GK (which Zoet isn’t bad but if means Adrian out NO Hart sent back I’m fine with)
Jota wants move here and we need added creativity and depth and wages will be cheap to others £30k Bilic shipped out Snod now Wings look thin. So £8m for him pls before Fulham get him and get Jokanovic too.
Gzegroz on loan to buy would be a great coup.
And then plenty of CBs to look at if Ayman bid fails.
Bc if Monoca Sell Fabinho they have plenty of cash to buy Carvalho and former relationship.

Let’s get real guys. Do you honestly see us doing 3-4 big deals before the window shuts?
Because I don’t. I think we will end up with dross.
They aren’t going to spend loads of money.. it’s plain and simple, we aren’t in Everton’s league. Let alone the top 5…
So how they think we will get top 7 is beyond me.
I just don’t see (under bilic) a winning side anymore (that kills me because I love bilic as a bloke)
I just don’t think his managerial skills are good enough for us.
    Something is obviously a miss.
I don’t even think a few signings would make any difference.
The fact is… the training is weak, the tactics are poor and the confidence is shot.
Doesn’t mean new personnel in the team.
It means new personnel in the managerial role.

If we don’t start helping Hernandez out up top he’ll be the next to engineer a move. Sakho is a top striker on his day. The whole club feels wrong at the moment, making expensive mistakes (Ayew, Fonte, Snodgrass) and chasing in positions we don’t need (Hart). Not sure whether to blame the co-chairmen or the manager for letting it happen, but if something doesn’t change soon we’ll be in big trouble.

Totally lack of positivity from the contriubutors on this blog, far, far worse than any other West Ham site.
