Sam gets tough on leaks but here’s our team

allardyce smilesSam Allardyce and his coaching staff have introduced a massive clampdown all team news escaping before games.

Irons sides have often appeared on social media hours before games over recent months and ClaretandHugh understands the manager and his staff have been busy closing down all ‘leaks.’

The only benefit is to opposing sides despite ‘leakers’ justifying the activity by claiming it is for the fans’ benefit and we are totally behind the clampdown move as a result.

The Hammers boss has however revealed he will stick with the same squad he took to Hull City for Monday night’s draw and the guessing game as to today’s starting 11 has been rife over the last 24 hours.

The manager has claimed he will go with the same squad which was:  Adrian, Demel, Tomkins, Reid, Cresswell, Kouyate, Noble (c), Downing, Zarate, Valencia, Sakho , Jaaskelainen, Vaz Te, Jenkinson, C.Cole, Collins, Song, Amalfitano.

The manager has made much of Stevie Gerrard’s role and influence in the build-up top the game and will aim to denying him in particular too much time on the ball.

There is much speculation that Morgan Amalfitano could be drafted in although the manager maintains that he won’t be adopting a gung ho approach so it’s a tantalising team selection issue.

Allardyce also has to decide whether Carl Jenkinson is fit enough to start and if not Guy Demel is likely to continue at right back.

Our likely team: Adrian; Jenkinson, Reid, Tomkins, Cresswell; Song, Kouyate, Downing, Noble, Valencia, Sakho.

As explained by ClaretandHugh’s chief analyst Leroy Rosenior yesterday, Sakho is likely to be told to become the fifth man in midfield when Liverpool are in possession.
