Sam: It’s about making sure the fans happy

TevezSam Allardyce has been speaking to the Daily Mirror ahead of our cup clash with Sheffield United on Tuesday evening. When asked about the Blades game Sam said “I think the reaction is to get a team out there that wins. I am not so sure how guilty Sheffield United were on it but that’s nothing do with me. It’s about making sure the fans are happy when I go on Tuesday because they feel aggrieved at what Sheffield United did and if I can do that for them, then great.”

Sam joined the Hammers as manager in 2011 but three years earlier the previous West Ham owners agreed an out of court settlement thought to have been £18m over the Tevezgate saga.  Some West Ham fans are thought to be planning on wearing Carlos Tevez masks on Tuesday night under the new floodlights.

  1. BS and the irons need to be very careful Tuesday night!

After Saturday hope and expectations will be high. There will be a big crowd. The atmosphere will be electric and feelings will be even more charged!

This is a game that not only must be won but won very well.

However, if this wasn’t enough to contend with BS must also protect some senior player for Saturday, give our youngsters a runout, give the blunts a fight tanking and ensure we have a strong enough team to comfortably beat Southampton on Saturday!

Who would be a premier football manager?! But I think we now have the squad to cope with these expectations and I fully expect us to win both matches! COYI!
