Sam: Let’s send former favourites home miserable

|

Robert GreenSam Allardyce is hoping Rio Ferdinand, Rob Green and Harry Redknapp get a big welcome back to the Boleyn.

The three have been big former Upton Park favourites at various times in their careers and Allardyce said: “They weren’t short term stays but we would like them to be very miserable at the end of the game though.

“The year I had Rob Green was when he helped us back to the Premier League in 2012. He was a great professional and we all know abut Rio while Harry is one fo the few who has been managing longer than me.

“Harry will know what is needed over there and I’m sure he believes he has enough to get QPR into a safe position.

“That will be his ultimate goal – and ours too, to avoid relegation and then see how high you can finish.

“Year One is always the most difficult. When you get to Year Three like us you should be evolving.”
