Manager Sam Allarcyce believes the West Ham players have performed “magnificently” over recent weeks.

The boss has been a hard taskmaster at times this season but he has gone out of his way ahead of the Stoke City game to congratulate every one of the squad.

He said: “We’ve had a good run recently and it’s been the determination and desire to turn things around that have done that.

“We have gone out with real desire and the players have done magnificently well up to now.

“That’s something we want to see until the very end of the season.”
