|

sam-allardyceSam Allardyce has confirmed the ClaretandHugh exclusive story that Diafra Sakho and Cheik Kouyate could be accompanied by West Ham medic/s when away on international duty in future.

We broke the story of  the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the injury on a treatment table during the last   international excursion to Africa.

Sam chose not to go into details about how the injury claiming: “I can’t medically go into any details from a legal point of view, but I can say the injury occurred not by playing or training.”

We can confirm again however, the injury occurred whilst Sakho was being treated for a mild back problem.

And on the possibility of sending medical staff with the pair, should they join the African Nations Cup squad, he added: “I think we would like to send people out there, but it is a manpower thing in terms of what we can put together without leaving ourselves too short back here,” he said.

“If I had my choice I would like to do it, but I don’t think we have enough staff to cover the African Nations and our needs during a hectic period back here in January.

“But we are considering it and I am talking to my head of medical about it.”

If I was Kouyte or Sakho I would not let the medical team in Senegal touch me and report back to West Ham if I did not feel 100%,there money comes from us not from Senegal and with there track record could not complain when they loose there players.

Here’s a better idea, don’t send our players! We are sending £80-£100m worth of players to an event that should not be taking place in view of the Ebola business.
