Samuelsen commits long term future to West Ham

martin-samuelsen-west-hamWest Ham have officially announced that Martin Samuelsen has signed a new four-year contract with the Club. The Norwegian winger, who joined the Hammers last summer, has put pen to paper on a deal that will see him remain at the London Stadium until 2020. The 19-year-old joined in June 2015, having left Manchester City.

“I’ve been here for a year now, and nothing makes me happier than signing a new contract at the Club to stay even longer,” he said.I’ve really enjoyed the year I’ve had at the Club so far and I want to build on that. It’s just been one upward journey so far, and I’m really happy to sign a new deal and hopefully I can push on and do even better.” he told WHUFC.com

“This season, I think it’s either going to be another loan or first team football for me at West Ham,” he continued. “I really enjoyed my time at Peterborough United last season and to have another spell playing good football on loan somewhere would be great. Both options would be good for mg-term goal is to get into the West Ham first team XI.”

“It’s a huge moment in history for West Ham with the move into the new ground and just playing the 20 minutes against Juventus have made me hungrier for even more game time there. It’s a fantastic Club and we have now got a fantastic Stadium to match it and the fans are fantastic too! It’s just amazing to commit myself further to the Club and I can’t wait for what the next four years has in store for me with West Ham.”

  1. Probably be near the end of his new 4 years that we get to see him play,
He has a lot of wingers in front of him and they are good
He looks a great prospect and I would le love to see him break through this year

  2. Great news IMO as I think we have a great player who will shine for us. So glad he feels better looked after at WHU than MC.

  3. Copy that M64. Isn’t it refreshing to hear a youngster say how much he loves it at WHU?
We have so many exceptional defenders and now attackers coming through, the future is looking incredibly good….I have to kick myself sometimes that all this is happening; last season, the step up to the new stadium, genuine aspirations to win championship in medium term and play in Champions League.
The 2 Daves and KB have performed miracles on a drowning-in-debt yo-yo club…. MIRACLES! The dream team!
