West Ham’s pending sale of Crysencio Summerville appears to be at an intriguing point, according to conflicting reports in the last twenty four hours: The Dutch winger is expected to depart any day but so far the ‘swoop’ by one of the number of Premier League sides said to be jockeying for his signature hasn’t happened.
Manchester United, apparently, is the player’s choice. Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal – take your pick, all have been ‘linked’. But no deal has been done, presumably as West Ham stick to their guns on price, as they did with Fernandes.

Summerville: Negotiating ploy or real interest from the Middle East?
Crackpot loan deals to the Turkish league have been suggested and written off: Latest reports in the last 24 hours claim interest from the Middle East – hardly the players’ choice – and Italian giants Roma. Yesterday it was claimed:
“Al-Hilal have made Summerville a “key target” this summer. The Blue Waves, who finished third in the Saudi Pro League last season, want to replace Brazilian winger Malcom – with the Dutchman their first-choice option.”
Agent talk or real interest? Summerville, surely, would choose the Premier League over the Saudi Pro League which has become the graveyard of many a professional’s career. But West Ham would be within their rights to take £50 million from wherever it comes – even if it sends Summerville out to exile from the top European Leagues.
Alternatively of course it could all just be ‘hype’ to try and move negotiations along. In these days of a leak-free east London boardroom, we won’t know for sure until we know. If you see what I mean.
But the longer it goes on, the tougher it becomes for the Hammers to bring in their chosen replacement, so you’d think the hold up wouldn’t be on the Irons’ side.
Simple unless anyone in the PL pays the asking price he stays . We don’t need to sell , so stop the talking and pay the £50 million . Put up or shut up
Someone will buy Summerville if we want to sign a player then we should and sell him later, of all our remaining players he is the most saleable.
Agree with not selling cheap too, DS was poor at getting players sold and would often capitulate in negotiations which buying clubs knew, so it’s a breath of fresh air.
As for Utd they won’t buy him because they can’t shift Rashford and I don’t think Summerville would go to Saudi he seems a well grounded kid.
