I’ve known Robbie Savage for many years and despite the seriously bad press he often gets from the fans it really is ill deserved. To be fair he’s a top lad who loves a laugh.
However, you don’t really need an opinion when Sav is around. He has them all and in this video he has no trouble voicing his thoughts on two men he knows very well from his Birmingham City days – the Daves!
Sav was their first Dimitri Payet when he caused wars to get out of St Andrew’s and was never slow to seek the help of friendly journos 🙂
He’s still at it – age hasn’t cooled the geezer but in this video, lifted from yesterday when he was commenting on the Irons v Swansea game, he asks the question most Hammers fans want answered.

This article implies much but says little. Sav is a top man? I dispute that. I have no direct experience and do not claim to know him, but as a football fan who watched him on numerous occasions on the pitch he was often, quite simply a disgrace. He knew the Davids? So what? The implication is that, with that knowledge he knows how they behave, and in terms of the transfers, this is how they are behaving now i.e. They controlled the the transfers at Birmingham and this is what they are doing now at West Ham. If that is what you mean Hugh, then why not say it? If that is not what you mean, you are certainly implying it, and I would ask, why? In short, I question your source, the implications of the article and its integrity.
He’s report what Savage said mate. There is no source and its intercity is there to see insomuch Savage said it! I accept Savage talks a load of rubbish at times but as far as I can tell Hugh is just reporting it.

The Davids are not the collective ‘messiahs” as many seem to think.They are business men first and foremost.Their reputation on “penny pinching” transfers precedes them.AS for Bilic I’m personally sick of reading what a great guy he is.We all know that.Why does it take a chorus of fans to force his hand in making changes in team selections?? For example the dropping of Noble although that was no where near long enough.Why isn’t Bilic blooding the young players we have on our list as Klopp did at Liverpool??If the owners don’t spend and I mean spend big time in the summer the mediocrity will continue and we will eventually go down.
