Scamacca gives all the reasons why we can beat Wolves

By Hughie Southon

Gianluca Scamacca is ready for Molineux and intent on replicating his London Stadium appearance against Wolves when scoring his first Premier League goal for Hammers last October.

David Moyes gave every indication the No 7 would be involved today and Scamazza has been offered what is called “The Last Word ” on the Hammers official site indicating that certainly appears to be the case.

How that will make Mikey Antonio feel is quite another issue but Scamacca has bee talking a good game in the meantime.

Players do that of course but let’s hope this time around the words are matched by the actions that the Italian has pledged.

The game against Leeds brought some much needed confidence back into the squad and we will be having everything crossed that we can go do the next level with a victory which should help us escape the immediate relegation jaws.

Commenting on the game to www.whufc.com Scamacca said: “We have confidence when we go to Wolves. The win against Brentford was an important one for the fans and also for the feeling and mood in the dressing room but we are looking towards the Premier league now.

We had a week off without matches as well, which is good too. The rest has been helpful because there are a lot of games to come. We have recharged  and now we’re 100 per cent and ready to go again.

Hopefully, we can get a similar result to the last fixture against Wolves at London Stadium. I have good memories of that game. It was unbelievable to score my first Premier League goal against Wolves back in October. The fans, my first goal, the win. I hope we can do that again on Saturday.

The fans are always important to help us get over the line. They support us very well and we are so happy to have such an amazing set of fans behind us always, especially when we travel away from home. Their support is unbelievable.

For them, I hope we win. My message to the fans is that we will give 100 per cent on Saturday. “
