Scamacca set for chop

Gianluca Scamacca is set to be dropped by Italy, according to a new prediction from Sky.

The striker played against England last week as Roberto Mancini’s side beat the Three Lions 1-0. Giacomo Raspadori scored the only goal of the game and Scamacca played 63 minutes of the clash.

He was eventually replaced by Wilfried Gnonto and it now appears that Gnonto is set to start this evening when Italy face Hungary away from home in the Nations League.

Scamacca has not been a regular for his country but he has won eight caps for his country in total, although he is yet to score a goal.

The 23-year-old getting a rest ahead of the Premier League returning this weekend is not going to be a blow to anyone at the London Stadium, though, as he is yet to get up to speed in terms of domestic minutes under Irons boss David Moyes.
