The Hammers were beaten 3-0 in their first pre-seson friendly in Seattle during the early hours of this morning – but no surprise there to be honest.
Whilst Seattle Sounders are in the middle of a busy League programme as they bid to reach the play-offs in the Western Championship, the Hammers only returned to work last Friday.
And they have had to cope with a long flight and just a couple of days training before being launched into the game.
www.whufc reports a 42nd-minute penalty won and converted by Sounders striker Herculez Gomez after Adrian had brought down the former United States international, and a quickfire second-half double from leading goalscorer Jordan Morris, put paid to our hopes of getting anything from the game.
