Seb Haller’s absence revealed

Seb Haller is missing from today’s matchday squad leading to all kinds of conspiracy theories on social media after the teams were announced at 3.30 pm

West Ham manager David Moyes confirmed he had a fully fit squad to choose from on his Friday lunchtime virtual press conference and the French striker trained yesterday at Rush Green.

A club source explained the 26-year-old trained yesterday but suffered from a small knock so did not make the bench today but his injury is not expected to be long term and he should return to the matchday squad for Manchester City.

The £45m club record signing as had to wait patiently on the bench this season coming on a late substitute for three Premier League games scoring one goal against Wolves.

Haller started all three games in the Carabao Cup scoring four goals against Charlton Athletic and Hull City but none against Everton.
