Security measures at Villa Park

|

Villa-ParkAston Villa have asked all West Ham fans to turn up at Villa Park on Boxing day at least 30 minutes before the 3pm kick off because of continuing security awareness following the November Paris attacks.

The Hammers have an allocation of 3,000 tickets costing £41 for adults, £19 for under 18’s and £12 for the under 8’s.

Aston Villa have released a statement saying:

“We are continuing to operate with an increased level of security for our forthcoming home games, including our Boxing Day encounter with West Ham. Therefore, we would ask all fans to arrive at Villa Park no later than 30 minutes before kick-off (2.30pm).

To help with security measures, we would also request fans to approach the turnstiles with coats and jackets unfastened and open. Please be aware that we are unable to store large bags and suitcases and these items will not be allowed into the stadium. Also, to assist in keeping the stadium as secure as possible, the smoking area at the top of the external Holte End stairs will not be in operation at half-time until further notice. Thank you for your co-operation.”
