Andy Carroll’s match winner against Chelsea nails once and for all the nonsense that he should be sold as soon as possible.
Look at Twitter on a bad day and there are still those who believe that he should be packed off to the first buyer but we saw yesterday just how serious he is as an option when badly needed.
David Gold has long insisted we could now get a long injury free run from the club’s record signing, Slaven Bilic claims his England days are all in front of him.
This man is required as we enter an undreamed of era in our history – West Ham a team that now has a serious rotation policy coming into being.
The man himself is in a kind of dreamland declaring on Match of the Day how great it was to score particularly given how long it’s been.
He said after the match of his joy and the excitement of scoring after so long and he most certainly didn’t sound like a man who wanted to go anywhere in a hurry.
We’ve all had our doubts about him but the simple truth is – as we saw yesterday – you can’t buy what the man brings to the party.
he done well and a great option to change a game is it me or does he look fitter leaner then ever
Just hope Roy lets him train with the method Slav,s mob has set,
And for us that spend time on this site every day because we love the banter and views of other Hammer fans, talking about every aspect of our club will continue,
Some of us have spent 2 years and more for this season,by calling for a new team of people to take this club forward in a Westham Way,so that gives us the right to bring up
Problems of the past,
Big selection problem next week
Zarate ?Moses ?Reid ?Ogbonna ?Noble ? Obiang ? To name a few,
There has been a more recent managert of his been less than complimentary about him in the press.I bet it felt good for him to score that goal.Sont think he gives a damn what Rodgers think, lol
Really pleased for big Andy. Biggest cheer I’ve ever heard when he scored yesterday. Where are you now Brendan Rogers?
I think Brendan might be at the Villa…
From what i read on here ” Chicken ” , you don’t mind me using for first name? At a time when we should all be enjoying “the moment ” there are still people on here arguing the toss over the previous manager and raking up past divisions among the fan base .
Can’t understand it personally , time to move on i reckon . COYI
Well from what i read on forums the majority who want to forget about the ex manager are the ones who were bigging up the 100% need for Allardyce to stay. Now they want him consigned to history & never spoken of again. Its a funny ol’ game 😉
ALL the fans??? Who the bloody hell isnt going to be behind the team atm???.Still doesnt change the fact i dont think Noble is worthy of an international call up though 😉
We need all our strikers to stay and ALL the fans to get behind the team .
Carroll fit & firing will get an England call up.Tomkins deserves a chance for sure.Noble,no chance Kevin, youre having a laugh imho. But good to see you on here feeling positive for a change 😉
Yes, Noble’s miles from England class – when Song gets fit again you’d expect Noble to be the one making way – just an opinion!
Yeh , maybe you’re right . It would have been nice to see Noble given a chance though in a friendly just to see what he can contribute .. I reckon he deserved at least that .
West Ham are fast becoming a very dangerous Team , and with AC in form again even more so . Talk of selling him is Too ridiculous to contemplate . You can see him being called up for England if Hodgsons strange ommitance of West Ham players changes .
That goes for Tompkins & Noble as well .
I’m confident Slaven Bilic will use Carroll the right way. Yesterday, just like last week against Palace, he worked perfectly as a sub. In other games he might be perfect in the starting line up
Yes if, and it’s a big ‘if’, Andy Carroll can stay fit then we’ve got a proper plan ‘b’ – but will he be happy to be the ‘impact sub’ when the game is in it’s stretched final stages – it’s worked brilliantly in the last couple of matches.
It was fantastic yesterday, when Carroll scored the roof nearly came off I’ve never heard a roar like it at Upton Park – it’s great when a plan comes together – long may it continue!
Could not agree more Hugh. Carroll comes on with 20 minutes to go and completely transforms our attacking options, even Terry and Cahill internationals could not handle it. The deep squad this year gives Slav so many options.
In contrast Chelsea looked more like we did at the end of last season, slow and predictable.and devoid of creation apart from Will I am
