“Sensational” Oxford sets out to prove Irons wrong

Reece Oxford has set out to prove West Ham wrong in sensational style at Augsberg.

After making an indifferent start to his loan spell at the Bundesliga club, the young central defender wowed the club and its supporters with an amazing show against Bayern Munich.

Reports have emerged that the Hammers youngster was in sensational form  despite the German outfit slumping to a 2-3 home defeat.

Such was his performance that he was named in a tweet from the club’s official account which said:

 Feb 16

Oxford had made it clear that he needed out of West Ham and boss Manuel Pellegrini agreed this was the best way forward for the 20 year old who has been off the first team scene for months.
However, he was back in form big time with a great display which saw him keep veteran Polish international striker Robert Lewandowski firmly under wraps and off the score sheet.

  1. So long as we get a good price for him at the end of the season it doesn’t worry me too much, he has decided he wants a move away from West Ham so good luck to him.

  2. I hope this is the game time he needs to fulfill his potential. Ever since he burst into the first team under Slaven I’ve been willing Reece to do well and get some game time. There seems to be a lot of negative comments about him but with very little evidence. Fingers crossed he can have a strong finish to the season and come back and slot in next to Diop for the next decade. COYI.
