Thank goodness for the stats people.

But for one of them, Dan Woffenden on Twitter, we may not have become aware of the amazing game of football played by Aaron Cresswell against Bournemouth last night.

Must be honest, whilst I realised the 32-year-old enjoyed a very decent game, I hadn’t realised that it had actually bordered on the superb.

Truth is the long-term Hammers servant has been in great form for most of the campaign, but his stats last night showed that he probably enjoyed his best game of the season.

Said Benrahma collected the man of the match award but Cress – on the basis of the figures above – ran him a very close second and clearly deserves a special mention here as a result.
